Meet the Team

A brief introduction to the Environmental Measurments (EML) Team

Mark Dutton - Managing Director

Mark Dutton Mark joined EML in 1996 after graduating from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle with a BSc (Hons) in Optoelectronic Engineering.  In 2008 Mark graduated with an MSc with Distinction in Engineering and Technology after carrying out part-time study.  He also holds a position on the WMO (World Meteorological Office) CIMO  Expert Team on New In-situ Technologies (More Details) as well as Newsletter Editor for the Royal Met Society special interest group. (More Details).  Mark enjoys cycling, football, working on his allotment and playing golf when his small children will let him. 

Terry Jenkins - Director

Terry Jenkins Terry has been with EML from the early days in Oxford in 1985. He moved to the north east of England  in 1989, when the company moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne. Terry has a mechanical engineering background and is responsible for keeping the current range of products up to standard. Terry is also involved with for the development and testing of new products. Terry’s interests are football, cricket, and F1 motor sports. However, his main hobby is carp fishing; this takes up most if not all of his holidays as the lake he fishes is located in the Champagne region of France.

 

 


John Armstrong - Production Manager

John Armstrong John joined straight from school in 1991 shortly after the company relocated to the North East of England and became Production Manager in 2006.  John's hobbies and interests include live music and overseas travel and in recent years has traveled to Australia as well as doing a coast-to-coast trip across America.  John is also a season ticket holder at Newcastle United and had the pleasure some years ago of installing a wind monitoring system on the top of the Milburn stand at St James's Park.
